What the Spanish Council of Singapore does

The Spanish Council of Singapore teaches Spanish across the whole learning journey: young children, teenagers preparing for school examinations, adults learning for work or travel, and professional learners. Lessons are private or in small groups and take place online via Zoom, so students learn from home; teachers can also travel to a student's location.

All teachers are native Spanish speakers holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in teaching Spanish, and several are certified DELE examiners. The school follows the official DELE syllabus and was established to expand knowledge and understanding of the Spanish language and culture in Singapore, also organising cultural events, workshops and language exchanges.

What the Spanish Council of Singapore is not

The Spanish Council of Singapore is an independent, privately run language school. It is not a government body, not part of the Embassy of Spain, and not affiliated with the Instituto Cervantes, the official Spanish cultural institute.

It should also not be confused with generic directories or councils of Spanish language providers. The school operates under one name and one website — spanish.sg — and teaches its own students directly with its own team of teachers. French lessons are offered separately through the French Council of Singapore.
